FECH’s Partnerships with the UH Manoa Community
Since its founding, FECH has been affiliated with the UH Manoa community, specifically the College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources (CTAHR). Faculty and staff of CTAHR have contributed to FECH through their facilitation of the FECH programs, presentations to program/workshop participants and providing their evaluation services. Students of CTAHR have volunteered at FECH as interns and in co-planning joint events (Earth Day, Plantsgiving).

FECH’s partnership with public and charter schools
FECH has provided on-site tours, workshops and youth programs with various schools and like-minded institutions on the topic of sustainable agriculture.
FECH President, Norman Tansey has presented a microgreens workshop at multiple schools, which has proven to be a favorite presentation among many teachers and students.

Substance Misuse Prevention
FECH’s Partnership with ADAD & Other
Prevention Organizations
ECH is primarily funded by federal grants provided by the Alcohol Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Health. FECH aims to prevent substance misuse in our community through positive parenting education and teaching youth and families skills in sustainable agriculture.
